Electric vehicle used batteries Industry

In 2021, China is the world’s biggest market for EVs and nearly 94% of the discarded weight of lithium-ion batteries used in vehicles. The grow of guiding EV pure electric vehicles and PHV plug-in gasoline electric vehicles along with Chinese government policies from around 2015. China is the major player and they are leading the world to grow rapidly in the market, but the amount of waste has also increased significantly.

Recycling volumes of lithium-ion batteries for vehicles vary widely around the world and are lower than industry estimates.

Although China has a certain censorship system for companies dealing with waste lithium batteries, in fact, many waste batteries have flowed into some companies that are not licensed by the government; It is exported overseas, so the recycling volume of discarded vehicle lithium batteries is not high.

In 2021, the lithium battery recycling market in the world will reach about 1790MWH, which is mainly used for some low-speed electric vehicles in the Chinese market or as stationary batteries. About 46,810 tons.

With the development of the electric vehicle market, the renewable lithium battery market is predicted to show a growing trend in the future. However, the key to its growth rate is that the recycling quantity of waste lithium batteries is generally lower than predicted around the world. How to enhance the recycling of waste lithium batteries in the future will be an important issue for the industry.
